Benefits of Pharmacy First

Pharmacy First aims to save up to 10 million GP appointments each year nationally. By sending patients with minor illnesses to pharmacies, GPs can focus on those with more complex needs. Patients can often be seen quickly in pharmacies, without needing an appointment.

Pharmacies also have private consultation rooms where patients can discuss symptoms confidentially. Any treatments or advice provided are recorded in the patient's GP record, so you stay informed.

Did you know your pharmacy can help with… infected bites, a stuffy nose and pain, a sore throat, ear ache, a red blistering rash, urinary tract or bladder infections in women, getting the contraceptive pill for free, free blood pressure checks for over 40s. Get expert advice and treatment without a GP appointment. Think Pharmacy First.
